Great coffee in a great neighbourhood

Today we ventured to BowsXArrows in the heart of Mount Pleasant for a caffeine fix.

Bows & Arrows is a small family and friend run business established in 2011 in Victoria, BC, that recently moved to the mainland and set up shop in Mount Pleasant.

“We’re a collection of stray coffee professionals taking a run at making something good while everyday making something fantastic – perfect coffee. We want to tangibly support and enjoy success with producers.”

The atmosphere was bustling when we walked in. The bar was full, and the communal table had happy patrons lining the seats.

Cozy atmosphere with plenty of greenery

Friendly staff took our order promptly, cappuccino and an almond milk vanilla latte. Prices are well within range of most high quality shops.

Drinks were prepared in less than a couple of minutes even though the place was packed. The record player was on playing some classic tunes so waiting for coffees flew by.

They also have an assortment of pastries and other menu items for those who are looking for a sit down meal with their coffee. During the later portion of the day they have a fully stocked bar with craft beers on tap and well liquor.

All in all, the place is a definite must visit. The cappuccino and latte were better than expected, with bold and acidic flavour from the espresso beans. We will definitely be back to review the variety of roasts offered.

Until next time,
